In an effort to learn more about areas where intervention is needed, this report assesses current levels of knowledge about HIV among Palestinians, focusing particularly on young people, their attitudes towards people living with HIV, and their practices in protecting themselves from HIV. To do so, it takes advantage of previous literature on the subject and two surveys – the Palestinian Family Survey/ Multiple Indicators Cluster Survey 2010 (MICS) and a Healthy Living Survey that complement each other in the age groups and information that they gathered. The survey was conducted through UNICEF with GFATM funding.
