They agreed that efficiency, not gender, should be the primary and sole criterion for enrolment in the judiciary, and that more qualified women would gain access to the judiciary if selection of judges was done through competition, based only upon professionalism without any form of discrimination.
Dignity at the heart of Dawoodiya camp – UN handover to Dohuk authoritiesMay 21, 2015UN humanitarian partners among which the UN Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat), and International Organization for Migration (IOM) today handed over to local authorities in Dohuk, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, the communal infrastructure of Dawoodiya camp for internally displaced persons that they jointly built. Established in January, the camp now hosts 680 families, approximately 4,000 people originally from Ninewa province, Tal-Afar and the Sinjar.
