UNDP establishes a partnership with Saut Al Arab to empower PLWH
In the context of the initiative on the socio-economic empowerment of People Living with HIV (PLWH), the HIV Practice of the UNDP Regional Centre in Cairo (RCC) established a partnership with the famous radio station Saut Al Arab (which reaches out to 40% of the rural populations in the Arab world).
A series of 13 interviews was conducted with PLWH who successfully set up their income-generating projects, as well as partners (UNDP, UN Women), and NGO partners. These interviews were conducted in July 2012, during a regional capacity-building workshop for NGOs from eight Arab Countries on socio-economic empowerment, and aired in October 2012.
