    The United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) assistance to the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza is aimed at reducing poverty and building livelihoods. UNDP's current strategy in Gaza focuses on the restoration of access and movement, the restitution and reconstruction of basic services and infrastructure, and the reduction of additional risks and vulnerabilities following the December 2008 military operations.
