UNDP Bahrain

SGS Bahrain

Date: 17 September
Time: 5pm
Location: UN House

To celebrate this year’s Social Good Summit, the Bahrain Country Office invited the Social Media Club and its founder, Mr. Ali Sabkar, to hold an event at the UN House on the 17th of September at 5pm. Mr. Sabkar is a social media guru in Bahrain, and was elected as co-chair of the Global Social Media Club as the  first non-USA Citizen to lead the biggest social media professional’s organization. The Social Media Club maintains a heavy online presence during the Social Good Summit every year, regularly contributing to the hashtag #2030NOW. Being that this year’s target audience is youth, the CO created a survey to disseminate beforehand (primarily amongst youth) to collect a large number of opinions on the Sustainable Development Goals, which will then be discussed during the event itself. The Social Media Club will also facilitate a session during the event to develop a number of tweets using the hashtag #2030NOW and #SDGBahrain, while monitoring live online activity surrounding the event. The survey can be found here:
