New UNDP & KOICA partnership to support anti-corruption and integrity

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) are announcing their partnership on the “KOICA-UNDP Regional Project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Arab Countries.

The new partnership enables the implementation of a four-year project that will prioritize support to seven countries, including Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. It will enable them to develop specialized governmental and non-governmental capacities, introduce and enforce critical laws and tackle specific corruption risks in key vulnerable sectors.

UNDP and KOICA are convening a regional panel, bringing together senior stakeholders to discuss “The Future of Anti-Corruption and Integrity Reforms in Arab Countries in Light of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The panellists from across the region will share experiences, lessons learned and good practices at national, regional and international levels on promoting integrity and preventing and combating corruption, in response to escalating public demand for more decisive action in this regard. They will also discuss emerging trends, challenges and future opportunities for related cooperation within the region.
