Impact of COVID19 on elections

The Electoral Support Project for the Arab Region for electoral authorities and the broader election community has organzied several webinars to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on elections with the support from the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).

The first webinar took place on the 21st of April 2020 to discuss impact, risks and opportunities of COVID19 on elections.

The second webinar was on 6th of May 2020 to discuss the implications on participation and voter turnout. Leading electoral authorities and experts have participated in the discussion.

The third will take place on the 21st of May to discuss the alternative voting methods during the pandemic of COVID19.
