The Global Economy in the Time of COVID-19: From Revitalization to Responsiveness

The Knowledge Project has organized the first webinar entitled: ‘The Global Economy in the Time of COVID-19: From Revitalization to Responsiveness’. There were two distinguished Arab experts who were the guest speakers: Rima Younes El-Khatib (Chairperson of the UNDP-SIDA Trade and SDG’s Working Group for Arab States) and Khalid Al-Wazani (Chairman of Jordan Investment Commission). The webinar was conducted in Arabic.  

Three main topics that were discussed and covered

  1. The impact of the pandemic on the global economy, partnerships and financing and how governments will be able to sustain their interventions.
  2. The great lockdown – will trade flows and patterns be redirected? What is the future of supply chains?
  3. How could the Global Knowledge Index help understand the impacts of COVID-19 on the future of knowledge economy?
