March 4, 2021

Date: Monday 8 March 2021

The UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) will convene a regional conversation as part of the Istanbul Innovation Days 2021: Development and its Futures (IID). This will include reflections on how innovative approaches can accelerate progress towards gender equality and women’s empowerment. The conversation will feature the following expert speakers:

  • Maciej Popowski, Acting Director-General of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR)
  • Dr Maya Morsy, President of the National Council for Women in Egypt
