:10 November 2020

UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States is partnering with International Alert to organize an online webinar to discuss the new version of their joint briefing paper on Monitoring National Action Plans for Preventing Violent Extremism – one of the resources on UNDP and International Alert’s toolkit, Improving the impact of preventing violent extremism programming: A toolkit for design, monitoring and evaluation.

The webinar brings together key stakeholders engaged in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) National Action Plans (NAPs) from various contexts, including Civil Society Organizations; governments counterparts; independent practitioners; international partners and UNDP experts to discuss good practices and lessons learned related to a whole-of-society engagement in the development and monitoring of PVE NAPs, based on the practical guidance that the paper provides.

The webinar will

  • Present the new guidance on Monitoring PVE NAPs as a new addition to the Toolkit and resources for M&E for PVE to a wide audience, member states, UN Agencies and civil society partners, who have been engaging in PVE related work;
  • Present examples of NAPs monitoring processes by UNDP partners and counterparts; and
  • Provide participants from member states, donors, CSOs, think tanks or academia and other partners to exchange experiences and lessons learned on NAPs monitoring.
