Identifying and assessing protective factors against Violent Extremism

UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States is partnering with International Alert to organize an online webinar to discuss the new version of their joint briefing paper on Measuring protective factors against violent extremism – one of the resources on UNDP and International Alert’s toolkit, Improving the impact of preventing violent extremism programming: A toolkit for design, monitoring and evaluation.

The webinar will bring together practitioners, CSOs, governments, academia, international partners and UN agencies to discuss good practices and lessons learned on what works, what does not work and how we assess the impact of programmes aimed at supporting protective factors against VE.

The webinar will present

  •  The new guidance on Measuring Protective Factors against VE as part of Toolkit and resources for M&E for PVE to a wide audience, member states, UN Agencies and civil society partners, who have been engaging in PVE related work;
  •  Examples of the plans and programmes which include protective factors against VE and lessons on how assess the impact of community-based resilience PVE programming from the counterparts/government, CSOs and research and study centres.   
  • Share more experience and lessons learned on measuring or assessing the impact of the protective factors against VE by participants from member states, donors, CSOs, think tanks or academia and other partners.
